橡树林中学 students can join a wide variety of clubs and activities and even start a club or activity of their own.

Students can submit an application to their school to form a new school, 非课程（有限公开论坛）, 或独立的，或俱乐部的，或活动的.

- Recruit students to be members and an adult staff advisor
- Fill out the appropriate application materials and submit them to the school office for approval
To remain active, club and activity applications must be renewed each year. Groups removed due to inactivity will need to have a new application submitted to be reinstated.

School clubs and activities are the most common offering for students. These cannot duplicate an existing school district activity, must meet outside school hours and have a minimum of 15 participants. School clubs and activities may have the opportunity to compete with other middle schools.

Non-Curricular clubs (limited open forums) are student-led groups that may be political, 宗教, 哲学和/或支持一项事业. These groups are not sponsored by the schools or district, but must have a school staff member serve as a non-participatory adviser. These clubs must meet during non-instructional time.

An independent provider club is an individual, group or organization that provides an opportunity for Bloomington middle school students to participate in an extra-curricular program. 这些不是学校赞助的活动.

Targeted Services After School programming is offered from 2:37–4:45 p.m. to support students with academic and social-emotional learning needs. This programming is provided at no cost and includes academic support as well as opportunities for students to engage in the arts, 追求利益, 培养领导能力. 提供交通工具.
Targeted Services Programming will start on October 2. Registration for Quarter 1 activities will start on September 12 at 8 a.m. at http://bloomington.ce.eleyo.com.

谷景中学 大使 help to welcome new students into the community. Each ambassador serves as a student guide to new students when they arrive and participates in various helpful ways during conferences and open house events. Students become ambassadors by applying and speaking to Mr. 费尔和小姐. 利比.

BEC-TV teams with students to create award-winning video programming. Students work alongside pros to create video productions for Bloomington’s athletics, 美术, and community events that are live-streamed to a worldwide audience. You’ll get to work in a hands-on environment, combining your creativity with the latest professional technology to work toward a team goal.

Joining the 数学小组 is a great way to challenge your math skills and have fun doing math problems in a group. The 数学小组 competes with other schools throughout the school year. Students work as a team and individuals on challenging math problems. The first five competitions are part of the Minnesota Junior High Math League. The final competition is the MathCounts Competition; students may qualify for the state and national competition.

The VVMS 音乐的 auditions take place each December with rehearsals beginning in January and the production in March.
山谷景观之声 is our competition show choir. This group is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Auditions are held in May for current VVM students and then again in September for new students. 山谷景观之声 rehearses on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school and weekend competitions beginning in January.
